Affogato has been brewing coffee supreme and serving home cooked delights in hardware lane since November 2008. Started just 3 days before their wedding by husband and wife team Sandor and Nicola, this inner city espresso bar is located at 29 Hardware Lane (between Bourke and Little Bourke St). Since opening the doors their aim is to provide busy city workers with great food and coffee in the same relaxed atmosphere as your local suburban cafe but in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Creating a menu that caters for the vegetarian and the gluten free eater has been Nicola and Sandor’s passion.  Using gluten free products to create totally gluten free meals and also sourcing a delicious locally made gluten free bread, you are sure to find something that suits everyone’s taste.  The staff are always willing to point you in the direction of vegetarian and gluten free menu options but if you have any other special requirements they are happy to create a dish  for you.
